Aligner manufacturing: A series of custom aligners is 3D printed and each set is worn for approximately 7-14 days before progressing to the next set.
Regular appointments: Regular appointments with your orthodontist ensure that your treatment is progressing as planned. These appointments are usually once every two months.

The cost of clear aligner treatment varies depending on the complexity and duration of treatment. Your orthodontist will discuss your treatment plan and explain the cost of treatment in detail.
Treatment length depends on the complexity of your individual case. Some clear aligner treatments can be completed in as little as 6 months. Treatment times often range between 12 to 18 months. If your case is very complex, treatment time may extend beyond 18 months.

Depending on the complexity of the case, clear aligners may be recommended in combination with other treatments braces and prosthodontic treatments.

Yes. A retainer is necessary after treatment to help your teeth maintain the desired alignment. There are several different types of retainers and your orthodontist will explain which is the best for you. You will also be shown how to wear the retainer and given clear instructions regarding how long the retainer should be worn.
Generally, clear aligners are not covered by Medicare. In some cases, rebates may be available where treatment is related to underlying medical condition/s.
If your insurance policy has orthodontic coverage, clear aligner treatment may be covered to a similar extent as conventional braces. However, as medical benefits differ significantly from policy to policy, it will be safer to check with your health insurance provider. Early examination allows the Orthodontist to detect and evaluate any problems and plan appropriate treatment. Early treatment may prevent more serious problems from developing and/or make treatment at an older age shorter and less complicated.
